MaryElizabeth Metcalf - Head Teacher

MaryElizabeth is the head teacher for TVN's MWF class for 3-year-old students. She joined the TVN teaching team in 2015. MaryElizabeth received her B.S. in Psychology and her Master's degree in Clinical Social Work - specializing in children, youth, and families. Before obtaining a social work degree, MaryElizabeth dedicated a year of service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps-South. She had a wonderful experience as a kindergarten teacher at St. Francis of Assisi School in rural Alabama. MaryElizabeth grew up in Colorado and eventually found her way to the Capital Region in 2000 when her husband, John, took a job with SABIC Innovative Plastics.
MaryElizabeth is the mother of two boys, Ryan and Eric, both of whom attended Tri-Village Nursery School. Fast forward to present day and now Ryan is in college and Eric is in high school! MaryElizabeth is an active member of the Bethlehem community and the Capital Region. She has a special interest in volunteering with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Northeastern NY Chapter. When not in the classroom, MaryElizabeth enjoys going for walks with her dog, Max, visiting with extended family on the Jersey Shore, and camping/hiking with her family in the Adirondacks. |
