Snow delays and closures

The most reliable way to receive weather-related updates is to subscribe to BCSD's School News Notifier (SNN) system.
TVN does participate in the school delays and closings notification on the local news stations. Teachers will also notify classes of any schedule changes via their class communication app. 

TVN follows the BCSD calendar

Tri-Village Nursery School takes its lead from BCSD in determining snow days, early dismissals, late openings, holidays, and half days.
  • A BCSD closure results in a TVN closure.
  • A 2-hour BCSD delay results in a TVN closure.
  • A 1-hour BCSD delay results in a 1-hour TVN delay.
  • When BCSD elementary schools have a half day, TVN still has a 3 hour day. 
  •  When BCSD dismisses early unexpectedly, TVN makes a determination about an appropriate dismissal time. Our goal is to ensure that parents and staff with elementary school-aged children are home in time for buses.
