Hello & Welcome! A note from our Sr. Parent Co-Chair
As Parent Co-Chair, I will work as liaison between the school and parents; primarily to handle and facilitate enrollment but also to help parents navigate through their school experience at TriVillage. So if you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Please note, the website also has the school calendar as well as the by-laws, rules and regulations or the Parent Handbook. The Parent Handbook provides our mission statement, characteristics of curriculum and various components of parent participation, health guidelines and the preschool experience. You will also find information and background about our wonderful teachers on the website.
If you would like your child to wear a mask at school, we ask you to practice with your child how to properly wear a mask and how to don/remove the mask. Just like potty training, this will be a skill your child will need to learn. Our teachers support each family's decision to have their child wear or not wear a mask at school.
Finally, If you haven’t done so already, please return any outstanding forms as soon as possible. We need to have health forms and birth certificates prior to the start of school. If your child is getting a physical in the first few weeks of school so you have not turned in the forms, we at least need current immunization records. You can mail paperwork to PO BOX 103, Delmar, NY 12054. This probably goes without saying, but please let me know at any point if there’s changes to phone numbers or addresses. And if we’ve misspelled anything!
PLEASE also review your plan before the start of school. You will see there have been updates made with dates attached. In Person Plan
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any concerns, questions or suggestions. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Nicole Young

Tri-Village Nursery School Safety and Property Guidelines
Children will only be released to a parent or authorized person. If someone different will be picking up your child, the teacher must have written permission to release your child to that person.
Please have your child wear regular, closed toe shoes to school. Crocs, sandals, and flip flops can cause tripping and stubbed toes.
We are tenants of the church and therefore we must be respectful of their property and the guidelines that they have set for us.

- Please do not allow children to play on the stairs and especially the railing.
- Fire doors (the double doors you pass through to enter the downstairs school hallway) must remain closed at all times. Exterior doors also need to remain closed; the church has had trouble with stray cats wandering in!
- Given the shape of the parking lot and the amount of traffic from school and church members, the parking lot can be very busy and dangerous. Please keep a close eye on your children in the parking lot and don’t allow them to play in front of the main entrance.
- When arriving and departing from the parking lot, please drive slowly and cautiously.
What to have your child wear
Your child should have comfortable shoes (no Crocs, sandals or flip flops). We do try to spend time outside, sometimes walking to the playground, so a comfortable pair of sneakers is recommended. Please bring appropriate outside clothing and outer garments since your child will be going outside, especially on days your child has Music & Movement.
If you should choose to have your child masked at school, or if there arises a need for your child to wear a mask due to any symptoms of COVID or an exposure to someone who has COVID here are some guidelines for acceptable, or recommended, face coverings. The mask will:

- completely cover both the mouth and nose;
- fit snugly, but comfortably against the sides of the face;
- be secured with ties or loops;
- include three tightly woven layers of material;
- allow for breathing without restrictions;
- can be washed and machine dried without damage or change to shape.
Why do we fundraise?
TVN is a non profit cooperative preschool and we operate solely on tuition and fundraising. In an effort to keep our tuition at an affordable and reasonable rate to our families, we have fundraisers throughout the school year. We also hold events throughout the year to get to know each other, to impact our community, and to have fun.
Fundraisers this year will range from school pictures, sweet treats such as cookie dough, restaurant fundraiser, car wash or other local business services, TVN swag such as t-shirts, bumper stickers, and sweatshirts, holiday fundraisers like pumpkins, pies, and wreaths, socially distanced events like a parking lot drive-in movie night, and take home activities such as cookie making boxes.
